Malcolm Ranieri's World of Railways and Vintage Transport: Part 1

Malcolm is credited with FRPS and MPAGB recognition, and is correspondent for Old Glory. His atmospheric steam and modern traction photography is frequently published, along with that found in several books of his own. Malcolm has kindly provided this section of tonight's show, along with accompanying notes for each photograph, although sadly he personally will not be in attendence to present this feature. This is a digital presentation featuring a wide selection of carefully selected UK and European steam, which will be presented on his behalf.

In the second half of this two part presentation, we hand over to one of the West Country's most respected photographers, Bernard Mills, who provides a selection from his vast photographic collection to show his own perspective on the theme, The World of Railways, which will show images from iconic pictures from steam in Austria in the 1970s, to South Wales with some local images as well. A talk not to be missed!

UK Narrow Gauge on video by Steve Andrews of Classic Traction

UK Narrow Gauge is a two part presentation by Steve Andrews of Classic Traction featuring some of the finest narrow gauge railways the British Isles have to offer. In Part 1, we journey over a combined 40 miles of the Welsh Highland / Festiniog system, the longest narrow gauge line in the UK, as we journey from Caernarvon to Blaenau Ffestiniog, featuring WHR G16 Garratts, FR Single and Double-Fairlie 0-4-4-0Ts, as well as SR Manning Wardle replica Lyd and former Penrhyn Quarry 2-4-0STTs Linda & Blanche.
Then in Part 2 we head into the middle of the Irish Sea to see the six great railway wonders of the Isle of Man, and visit the Isle of Man Steam Railway, Douglas Bay Horse Tramway, Manx Electric Railway, Groudle Glen, Snaefell Mountain Railway and Great Laxey Mine Railway. Below is a preview of the second half of the show. Both of these programmes will be available as DVDs from Steve through Classic Traction.

Join us for the Circle's 69th Annual General Meeting - where the Circle President, Vice President and Committee will give their annual reports, the audited Circle accounts are presented by the Treasurer, and various other reports are presented by were the Committee, such as the Chairman's report, fixtures, sales stand update and magazine report. The Circle will also vote for its new committee officers for 2016 - 2017, including a President, Vice President and Committee for the next PRC year. Members are also able to (as PRC members) to address any concerns or ask any questions before the Committee. As is a Circle tradition, the AGM was followed by a presentation from the current President.

More perspectives of Steam by Mike Tyack
Our old friend Mike Tyack returns to give a selection of global steam in the landscape from his personal collection of reflective and inspirational slides. A traditional slide presentation, we will see images from preserved steam on the main lines and preserved lines in the UK, as well as likely locations such as France, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, as well as North and South America. A talk not to miss!
